The second-largest Muslim religious holiday, Eid-ul-Azha, will be observed in the nation on June 29.
After the holy month of Zilhaj’s moon was observed in Bangladesh territory this evening, the National Moon Sighting Committee made the announcement during a meeting held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in the capital.
The gathering was presiding over by Religious Affairs Ministry Secretary MD A Hamid Zamadder.
On the tenth day of Zilhaj, the holiday of Eid-ul-Azha is observed.
