The $200 million ADB loan for Bangladesh is in progress

Bangladesh will receive a $200 million loan during the current fiscal year 2022–2023, according to Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Head Edimon Ginting.

This loan is being processed for a number of government development initiatives.

This was stated by the ADB country director at a meeting with the finance minister, AHM Mustafa Kamal, on Tuesday at the secretariat. Following the meeting, the ministry sent a press release stating this.

The country director reportedly stated that Bangladesh and ADB have a close relationship. The ADB will keep promoting investments in climate resilient development while assisting rural and urban development.

Edimon Ginting lauded Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina for her creative leadership in maintaining the country’s economy during the Covid-19 pandemic issue.

He thanked the finance minister in advance, knowing that he would attend the 55th ADB annual meeting, which would take place from September 26 to 30. He also spoke on the 50th reunion of Bangladesh and ADB in 2023.
