Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have decided to strengthen their current bilateral relationship for mutual benefit.
The decision was reached during a bilateral meeting on Tuesday between Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum (local time).
At the meeting in Dubai Exhibition Centre, both leaders led their respective teams.
Following the meeting, Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen informed the press.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, emphasized the importance of strengthening Emirates flight operations between the two countries.
Sheikh Hasina responded by stating that her government is now working on the third terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. “To that end, we’re striving to improve our capacity,” she continued.
She stated that the UAE has numerous commercial and investment opportunities in Bangladesh.
The Prime Minister of Bangladesh praised the UAE government for successfully combating the Covid-19 outbreak.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised Bangladesh’s administration in this regard, stating Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, “You have also done well (regarding Covid-19 control)”.
Sheikh Hasina also commended Al Maktoum for transforming Dubai into a world-class city.
“We have a lot of space for additional development,” the prime of Bangladesh told the Dubai ruler when asked about the country’s development.
The UAE Prime Minister expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for her visit to the UAE to commemorate International Women’s Day.
