The pandemic could end in the middle of this year: WHO chief

Tedros Adhanam Gabriasus, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO), predicted that the Corona outbreak would be over by the middle of this year. However, there is one stipulation. By June-July, 80% of the world’s population will have been vaccinated. Al Jazeera has breaking news.

The WHO director-general made the remarks to media in South Africa on Friday (February 11th).

Tedros Adhanam Gabriasus, who emphasized the vaccine effort, stated that if the objective of vaccinating 80 percent of the world’s population could be met, the pandemic would be eradicated. And that’s exactly what we’re hoping for.

The WHO chief noted that the immunization initiatives themselves were not a matter of taking chances. It is up to us to decide whether we will meet the immunization program’s objectives.
