According to Israel’s military, Israeli planes targeted Hamas targets in Gaza on Saturday in response to incendiary balloons launched from the Palestinian territory.
There were no immediate indications of injuries or damage from the attack, which Israel said was aimed at a missile launching location and a Hamas compound. Hamas is the political organisation that rules Gaza. Hamas did not respond right away.
New Press published a social media post that showed streaks of light flowing from Gaza as rounds were fired at Israeli planes in retaliation for the raid.
According to the New Press, Israel struck three sites, including Beit Hanoun and Jabalya.
