Zimbabwe has made new history

Zimbabwe made a new history by defeating Pakistan by 99 runs. This is Zimbabwe’s first win against Pakistan in the T20 format. The team, which has not won in the last 15 matches, won its 18th match against Pakistan.

In the second T20 of the three-match series on Friday, Zimbabwe lost the toss at the Harare Sports Club ground and batted first, losing wickets at regular intervals to score 117 for nine.

Chasing an easy target, Pakistan lost the wickets of Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman and Mohammad Hafeez for 56 runs. Captain Babar Azam was fighting alone in such a batting disaster of the team.

Pakistan, who were eight for three, needed 40 off the last 25 balls to win. But Babar Azam’s 41 off 45 balls shattered Pakistan’s batting line-up.

In the end, Pakistan lost 6 wickets for only 21 runs and were all out for 99 runs in 19.5 overs. Zimbabwe won the series by 19 runs to draw 1-1. The last T20 match of the series will be played at this ground in Harare next Sunday.
