The South African cricket team will tour Pakistan. After 14 years, the South African cricket team will tour Pakistan in January-February 2021 to play a two-Test and three-match T20 series.
Cricket South Africa announced on Wednesday that the decision was taken after a security delegation visited Pakistan recently.
The South African team will arrive in Karachi on January 18. He will then take part in the first Test scheduled for 28-30 January at the end of the quarantine.
The second and final Test of the series will be held in Rawalpindi on February 4-6. Then the three-match T20 series will be held on February 11, 13, and 14 in Lahore.
The two teams will play in the Test series as part of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
South Africa last won the two-Test series 1-0 on a tour of Pakistan in 2006.
The Proteas will tour Pakistan as the fourth international team since the 2009 militant attack on a bus carrying the Sri Lankan team in Lahore. International cricket has been banned in Pakistan for a decade after a naked attack on a bus carrying the Sri Lankan team.
South Africa Cricket Director Graeme Smith said: “It’s a pleasure to see so many countries returning to Pakistan, which is crazy about cricket and proud of the game.”
