Olympique de Marseille have appointed former AS Roma coach Rudi Garcia as their new manager on a three-year contract, the Ligue 1 club said on Thursday.
Rudi Garcia was sacked by the Giallorossi in January although he remained under contract with the Serie A club, however, they officially terminated his contract on Thursday.
The French outfit have been on the hunt for a new manager since parting ways with Michel in January, while Franck Passi has been in caretaker charge for the early stages of the term.
Garcia wasted no time in finding a new employer and has been announced as the new man to lead Marseille forward after penning a three-year contract.
The 52-year-old Garcia replaces Franck Passi, who took charge at Marseille following Michel’s sacking in April. Marseille are 12th in the league standings and travel to Paris St Germain on Sunday.
