The number of coronavirus cases and deaths in the country has been increasing rapidly in Bangladesh for a couple of weeks. As a result, there is increasing pressure on hospitals designated for Corona (Covid-19) patients.
The government is increasing the number of hospitals and beds to handle the situation. At the same time increasing the pressure of sample testing. The number of test centers has increased. For the last days, The average number of Tests is now around 10,000 daily. Even then, there are reports of lines being set up at different places for the test from the night before.
Holy Eid-ul-Fitr is almost on the door. Some private testing centers may be closed during the Eid holidays. The test pressure may increase a little at this time.
Till yesterday, 30,205 people were tested positive with COVID-19 in the country. Of these, 13,058 people were affected in Dhaka only.
The government has declared a general holiday till May 30 due to the outbreak of corona. The holy Eid-ul-Fitr is on May 24 or 25, subject to the sighting of the moon. The Department of Health has said that the corona identification test will continue in the same way before and after Eid.
