JAAGO Foundation will organize the fourth edition of the National Youth Assembly (NYA) 2020 by incorporating the theme of ‘Empowering Youth for National Development’. The event will take place from February 26 – February 29, 2020, at Long Beach Hotel, Cox’s Bazar.
The 4-day Assembly will be attended by 600 participants around the county. The youth pool is selected through a screening and selection process. Along with the track record of leadership experience in their community and an interest in global affairs along with sustainable development and youth issues the participants also joins NYA having the vision of being one of the representatives and voices of their constituency.
The conference will connect the nation’s foremost young talent in the fields of sustainable development and social entrepreneurship, together with leading professionals, policymakers, and practitioners in various fields. Through various discussions, skill-building workshops, networking sessions, and ideation challenges, youth delegates from all over Bangladesh will gain relevant knowledge, resources, and opportunities. With the help of these workshops, the delegates will be able to take action and build projects of their own throughout the years.
On this occasion, Korvi Rakshand, Executive Director, JAAGO Foundation said, “In Bangladesh, 40% of the population is youth. Hence, the contribution of youth can make a huge impact on the country. It is our responsibility to help the young generation to grow and become responsible citizens. This inclusive and engaging Assembly will enlighten the youth with issues like Sustainable Development Goals to community engagement. It will also further strengthen the personal development of the delegates thus inspire and motivate them to be Active Citizens in their respective areas.”
The NYA 2020 will be consisting of more than 30 sessions including Assembly including Mobilizing Youth for Politics, Institutional Partnerships to Achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), Ensuring Road Safety for Sustainable Cities, Industries in Bangladesh, Leadership, Technology in Business, Good Governance and Civic Education, Good Governance and Human Rights, and many more.
