Today, Egypt reaffirmed its commitment to growing its collaboration with Bangladesh in all areas, especially in the areas of energy, agriculture, skilled labor recruitment, and cultural exchanges.
Omar Mohie Eldin, the Egyptian ambassador to Bangladesh, provided the guarantee.According to a press statement, Ahmed Fahmy paid State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam a courtesy call at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here today.
Both parties reiterated the two nations’ long-standing friendship and developing bilateral ties during the meeting, and they also talked about how to expand cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The state minister thanked the Egyptian government for welcoming a sizable number of professionals and students from Bangladesh. She expressed her gratitude to Cairo in particular for its recent decision to expand the number of fully financed scholarships available to Bangladeshi students from 12 to 24.
Enhancing trade and investment cooperation was another topic of discussion, especially in the areas of energy, infrastructure, medicines, agriculture, jute, and labor.
In addition to highlighting improved people-to-people interactions through cultural and sporting exchanges, a mutual visa waiver agreement, and frequent bilateral engagements alongside high-level visits, Shama emphasized the significance of bolstering partnership in culture and education.
Ambassador Fahmy reaffirmed Egypt’s unwavering commitment to enhancing cooperation in all areas, including hiring skilled and semi-skilled personnel and working together in the fields of energy, agriculture, and culture.
He pledged Egypt’s unwavering support for Bangladesh and pledged to further strengthen the two friendly countries’ fraternal ties.
