In order to guarantee the efficacy of Parliament for the benefit of the country, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has called on all Members of Parliament (MPs) to work together.
“All of Bangladesh is represented by the current Jatiya Sangsad. The nation’s success depends on this parliament’s performance. Therefore, in order to prevent it from becoming useless, all members of Parliament must cooperate together,” he stated.
In the first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad, the premier was giving his closing remarks after the discussion of the resolution expressing gratitude for the President’s speech.
Tarique Rahman said, “If we cannot maintain a stable government and a stable Parliament, we will not be able to move the country forward in any way.”
The parliamentary session began at 11:00 am today with Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, Bir Bikram, in the chair. After the evening prayer break, Tarique Rahman, Leader of the House, and Leader of the Opposition Dr Shafiqur Rahman delivered their concluding speeches.
The premier began his speech at 8:20 pm and concluded it at 9:10 pm.
