SUZUKI Norikazu, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries and the special envoy of the Japanese Prime Minister, observed the current Jatiya Sangsad session this afternoon.
Following Chief Whip Nurul Islam’s announcement of the Japanese Minister’s arrival, members of parliament (MPs) enthusiastically greeted him by pounding desks.
The Chief Whip declared, “We are thrilled to announce with great pleasure that Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries Minister SUZUKI Norikazu and the special envoy of the Japanese Prime Minister have arrived in Bangladesh Parliament.”
He said the Japanese agriculture minister and his delegation are visiting the Parliament. Bangladesh has shared a long friendly relationship with Japan since 1971.Following the announcement, the MPs welcomed the visiting minister and his delegation by thumping their desks.
Deputy Speaker Barrister Kayser Kamal was chairing the House during the visit at around 5:50pm.
