Ukraine says Russia returned more than 500 soldiers’ bodies

On Friday, Kyiv announced that more than 500 Ukrainian soldiers’ bodies had been returned by Russian authorities, the majority of whom had died in the eastern Donetsk region.

Kyiv’s Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War posted on social media, “The bodies of 502 fallen defenders were returned to territory controlled by the government of Ukraine as a result of repatriation activities.”
