2 Palestinians killed in Israeli raid in West Bank: PA

According to the Palestinian Authority, an Israeli raid in the occupied West Bank hamlet of Yabad claimed the lives of two Palestinians, including a teenage teenager.

Israeli forces stormed the village on Sunday night, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa, sparking skirmishes in which two Palestinians were shot dead by Israelis.

The Palestinian Health Ministry identified the two deceased as Ahmad Mahmud Zaid, 20, and Muhammad Rabie Hamarsheh, 13.

“Overnight, during an IDF (Israeli army) counterterrorism activity in the area of Yabad, two terrorists hurled explosives at IDF soldiers. The soldiers responded with fire and hits were identified,” an Israeli military source told AFP.

Nine Palestinians were killed in multiple operations by the Israeli army last week in the West Bank city of Jenin, the majority of whom were Palestinian terrorists.

Since the conflict in Gaza broke out on October 7 of last year following Hamas’ attack on Israel, violence in the West Bank has increased dramatically.

The health ministry in Ramallah claims that since the beginning of the Gaza war, Israeli forces or settlers have murdered at least 777 Palestinians in the West Bank.

According to Israeli officials, at least 24 people were killed in the West Bank over the same time period by Palestinian attacks against Israelis.

The West Bank has been under Israeli occupation since 1967.
