Prof Yunus calls for redesigning global healthcare system

Professor Muhammad Yunus, a 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner and chief adviser, today advocated for a rethink of the pharmaceutical industry and the global healthcare system.

According to a message received in Dhaka, he made the call while speaking at a health services side event at the COP29 climate summit in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

Prof. Yunus spoke at the World Leaders Climate Action Summit’s opening session at COP29 earlier in the day.

On the sidelines of today’s global climate meeting, he also gave a speech to the Social Business Group.
