YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd., a Chinese corporation, intends to establish a shoe accessories manufacturing industry within the BEPZA Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ).
Each year, they will allocate $7.45 million to the production of 10 million pairs of footwear materials. The organization will generate employment opportunities for 1,509 Bangladeshi nationals.
A press release announced that an agreement was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and YiXin Bangladesh Co. Ltd. at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka today, with the presence of BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman.
The agreement was signed by Md. Ashraful Kabir, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Jian, Zaiyi, Managing Director of YiXin Bangladesh, on behalf of their respective organizations.
YiXin Bangladesh Co. was thanked by the Executive Chairman of BEPZA for their investment in Bangladesh, particularly in BEPZA EZ.
He encouraged the investors to commence the factory’s construction as soon as feasible.
Mohammad Faruque Alam, Member (Engineering), A.N.M. Foyzul Haque, Member (Finance), A.S.M. Zamshed Khondaker, Executive Director (Admin), Md. Tanvir Hossain, Executive Director (Investment Promotion), Mohammad Anamul Haque, Project Director of BEPZA EZ, and A.S.M. Anwar Parvez, Executive Director (Public Relations), were at the signing ceremony, along with representatives of the enterprise.
It is worth noting that a total of 32 companies, including YiXin Bangladesh, have signed agreements to engage in the BEPZA EZ, with a total proposed investment of $718.46 million.
