A resolution designating Narendra Modi as their leader was approved by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) members in unanimity.
At a crucial meeting on Wednesday at his official residence in Delhi, twenty-one leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) signed a document designating Narendra Modi as their leader.
The prime minister was commended by the NDA leaders for his leadership and the progress the country has accomplished in the last ten years.
They praised the prime minister’s nation-building efforts and emphasized that they are partners with him in realizing his clear vision for “Viksit Bharat.”
“In the last 10 years, 140 crore citizens of India have seen the country develop in every sector due to the welfare policies of the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After a very long gap, of almost six decades, the people of India have chosen a powerful leader with an absolute majority for the third consecutive time,” the NDA leaders’ letter mentioned.
“We are all proud that the NDA fought and won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections unitedly under the leadership of Narendra Modi. We NDA leaders unanimously choose Narendra Modi as our leader,” it further stated.
The leaders declared that the poor, women, youth, farmers, and the exploited, disadvantaged, and oppressed Indian citizens are the priorities of the NDA government, which is led by Prime Minister Modi.
NDA leaders praised the PM’s initiatives to alleviate poverty and promised to carry up the excellent work.
“The NDA government will continue to work to improve the living standards of every person in India and the all-round development of the country by protecting the heritage of India,” it added.
The pivotal gathering of the National Democratic Alliance, chaired by the Bharatiya Janata Party, took place on Wednesday at the Delhi residence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP president JP Nadda, BJP leaders Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, as well as the BJP’s allies, such as leader of the Janata Dal (United) Nitish Kumar, leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) N Chandrababu Naidu, leader of the Shiv Sena Eknath Shinde, leader of the Janata Dal (Secular) HD Kumaraswamy, leader of the Janasena Party Pawan Kalyan, chief of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chirag Paswan, and leader of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) Praful Patel were present at the meeting.
Sources claim that the NDA had talks about forming a government.
Following their June 7 meeting with the newly elected Lok Sabha members, the leaders of the NDA will visit President Droupadi Murmu. The sources further stated that Nadda, Amit Shah, and Rajnath Singh will meet with the allies to talk about forming a government.
On June 8, PM Modi will take the oath for the third time, according to sources.
