UN humanitarian rights chief calls Gaza war ‘betrayal of humanity’: statement

Martin Griffiths, the under-secretary-general of the United Nations for humanitarian affairs and emergency relief, denounced Israel’s attack against Hamas in Gaza on Saturday, calling it a “betrayal of humanity.”

One day before the war’s half-year anniversary, the departing humanitarian official issued a statement demanding a “collective determination that there be a reckoning for this betrayal of humanity.”
