In Uttara, BRAC Healthcare Limited, a division of BRAC Enterprises, opened its second medical facility. On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, Asif Saleh, Executive Director of BRAC, formally opened the center. It is located at House 15, Road 12, Sector 6, Uttara, Dhaka.
BRAC Healthcare centres promote a client experience that is marked by warmth, empathy, and comfort, with a focus on establishing a welcoming atmosphere. The aim is to duplicate the sensation of receiving care from a close family member.
This growth is a critical turning point for the healthcare industry as BRAC Healthcare is dedicated to providing the best possible patient-centered medical treatment while upholding the strictest ethical guidelines. The center, which employs a group of exceptionally skilled medical specialists, promises to address changing healthcare requirements through six main service pillars: family practice and first aid care, physician consultations, health and wellness (including physiotherapy, mental health, and nutrition), dentistry care, and diagnostics. The facility also has a government-registered model pharmacy that provides customers with affordable, secure access to pharmaceuticals and knowledgeable pharmacists who are prepared to dispense medication.
In the opening ceremony, Asif Saleh, the Executive Director of BRAC, emphasised, ” We acknowledge the prevailing notion that quality healthcare services are often unattainable during emergencies. However, if achieved, it is considered a blessing. We are committed to changing this reality. Patient-centric medical care is our guiding principle at BRAC Healthcare.”
Expressing optimism, he remarked, “While it may not be feasible for us to reach the entire population, we aspire to set a standard with the quality of medical services provided by BRAC Healthcare. I hope that witnessing BRAC’s exemplary medical care will inspire others to elevate their standards, leading to a positive transformation in the entire healthcare sector.”
Mohammad Anisur Rahman, Senior Director, BRAC Enterprises, stated, “Throughout the one-year journey, our primary objective was to deliver high-quality service to our patients, ensuring a positive experience for them. We believe that we have largely succeeded in this endeavour. Over 90 per cent of individuals who have accessed healthcare from Kazipara centre expressed high satisfaction with our service delivery process.”
With state-of-the-art imaging equipment—such as X-ray and Ultrasonography (USG)—and a fully functional laboratory, the center guarantees prompt and precise test results. The extensive dental services provided by BRAC Healthcare include routine examinations, teeth cleanings, aesthetic fillings, tooth extractions, and more.
Following the grand opening of its first location in Kazipara in March 2023, BRAC Healthcare provided medical care to over 11,000 patients, of which about 22% were under the age of 15 and 50% were female. The relatives of these patients came from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds.
In order to positively impact the lives of those in the middle class, BRAC Healthcare intends to expand its services this year and open other locations in the city and throughout the country.
