Russia can harvest 145 mln tons of grain in 2024: expert

Russia can harvest 145 million metric tons of grain in 2024, Arkady Zlochevsky, President of the Russian Grain Union, said reporters. Ninety-two million of those tons would be wheat.

“Concerning grain, 145 mln metric tons in 2024 with new regions taken into account, including wheat from 92 to 93 mln metric tons,” Zlochevsky said.

The potential grain harvesting in new regions stands at 8 mln metric tons, he said. “In 2024, we expect the level of five mln metric tons,” Zlochevsky noted.
