Humayun urges Thai envoy to explore more bilateral ventures

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun stated today that Bangladesh and Thailand should collaborate to investigate additional bilateral economic endeavors, highlighting the ethnic history and cultural linkages between the two nations.

“Bangladesh is keen to expand trade and strengthen relations with Thailand,” he said while holding a meeting with Thai envoy to Bangladesh Makawadee Sumitmor at his office in the city, said a press release.

Among those in attendance were Anwarul Alam, the director general of the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB), and Zakia Sultana, senior secretary of the industries ministry.

According to Makawadee Sumitmor, trade and investment are acceptable in Bangladesh’s current business climate.

She also said that Bangladesh, as a growing nation, is leading South Asian nations in terms of trade and industrial growth.
