President & PM mourn casualties in Bailey Road building fire

The capital’s Bailey Road building caught fire today, causing extensive damage and taking many lives. President Mohammed Shahabuddin voiced his shock and sadness at the losses.

The Head of State expressed profound sympathy to the deceased family members and prayed for the victims’ departed souls to rest in eternal peace in a condolence statement.

He also wished for the victims of the fire to recover quickly.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina also expressed profound shock and sorrow at the casualties in a devastating fire at a building on Bailey Road in the capital.

In a message of condolence, she prayed for peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved families, said an official release of press wing of Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister also asked the authorities concerned to take prompt measures to give proper treatment to the injured persons.

She appreciated those who were engaged in controlling the blaze quickly.
