Saraswati Puja being observed

On Wednesday, the Hindu community celebrates Saraswati Puja, a cornerstone holiday, with great fervor and enthusiasm throughout Bangladesh.

This sacred event, known as Vasant Panchami, takes place on the fifth day of the bright fortnight in the Bangla month of Magh.

The festival, which honours Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, is especially important to schools and students. Hindus congregate in temples and educational institutions to perform puja in order to obtain blessings for study and enlightenment.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have sent their best wishes to the Hindu community on Saraswati Puja as a show of unity and goodwill.

The central puja celebration committee at Jagannath University is organising an event on campus to showcase the festivities for the day.

Furthermore, Dhaka is a hive of celebratory activities, holding several ceremonies at different venues and embracing the values of cultural heritage and community peace.
