Christmas services were held in hundreds of Moscow churches for more than a million believers, according to Vitaly Suchkov, head of the capital’s department for national strategy and interregional relations, who spoke with TASS.
“Despite the frost, more than 1 million people attended Christmas services in Moscow,” said Suchkov.
He added that on these holidays, over 550 churches in the capital were open.
