FICCI investment expo rescheduled on Nov 19-20

In honor of its 60th anniversary, the Foreign Investors’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has rescheduled its two-day Investment Exposition for November 19–20 at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden.

The original timetable for the exposition was November 8–9.

As stated in a news release, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had previously given her approval for her to be the chief guest at the exposition’s opening on November 8.

However, according to the press release, the prime minister is expected to attend the “Women in Islam” Conference, which the OIC is hosting in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 6–8.

The statement added that the Prime Minister has provided new approval to open the exhibition in the nation’s capital on November 19 in light of the current situation.

The main goal of the exposition is to show how it has developed the nation’s economy and provided a supportive business climate from the beginning, particularly through governmental assistance.

Industry practitioners and experts will share their thoughts in two plenary sessions titled “Green Value Chain” and “Investment Climate: Current Landscape and Mission 2041.”

Two research reports of the chamber “Catalysing greater FDI for Vision 2041: Priorities for building a conducive tax system in Bangladesh” and “ESG Excellence: A Chronicle of FICCI Members” will also be unveiled at the event.

Besides, senior government officials, policymakers, diplomats, development partners, think-tanks, domestic investors and stakeholders will participate in the exposition.

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is the event’s strategic partner.
