Rocket from Gaza hits hospital in southern Israel

A hospital in the southern Israeli city of Ashkelon was hit by a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman for the medical center.

She said in a statement that a rocket fired from Gaza directly struck the child development center at the Barzilai hospital in Ashkelon.

It is anticipated that the war, which has already taken more than 2,200 lives on both sides, will worsen. Israel is more determined than ever to break the group’s hold in Gaza after the weekend attack, which Hamas claimed was retaliation for the deteriorating conditions for Palestinians living under Israeli occupation.
