ICC unveils prize money for 2023 Cricket World Cup

The prize money for the next 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which will take place in India, has been made public by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Along with the prized trophy they will raise at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19, the victorious team of this prestigious 10-nation competition will also take home a sizeable prize of USD $4,000,000.

The runners-up will also receive USD 2,000,000 in prize money. The teams who make it to the semi-finals will receive USD 800,000 from the eye-catching USD 10 million total prize fund, respectively. The competition, which consists of 48 games spread over 10 locations, is set to begin on October 5.

For each victory in a league match, the World Cup of this year will bring individual match bonuses. The top four teams from a round-robin format will advance to the semi-finals.

Each group stage match winner will receive USD 40,000, and the six teams who did not advance to the semifinals will each receive USD $100,000.

The 2023 World Cup is one of the most widely anticipated cricket events in recent memory thanks to the ICC’s announcement, which promises a competitive competition with significant prizes for the participating teams.
