Mahmudullah returns to practice quietly

Mahmudullah Riyad, who was dropped from the national squad, was seen beginning his training session at the Academy Ground of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today when the national players were on a break following their series against Afghanistan.

He actually made a very quiet return to the ground, but he appeared determined to rejoin the team.

And his statement on his Facebook verified profile served as proof of it. He submitted an outdated image with the phrase “Challenge your Story.”

Mahmudullah was formerly a key member of the national squad but was dismissed after a home series against England in March of this year. Even before the recently finished home series against Afghanistan, he was unable to make the preliminary squad, and it is thought that he is unlikely to make a comeback to the national team.

The main problem with Mahmudullah, 37, was his physical condition. Although his strike rate is usually suspect, Chandika Hathurusingha recently became irritated with his sluggish fielding. He missed a few catches, and his ground fielding wasn’t up to par with the young legs.

He was probably informed of the position he should fill to rejoin the national squad as Bangladesh was looking for a solid player to fill the No. 7 spot.

Mahmudullah was recently seen working out hard after returning to the nation after completing the Hajj pilgrimage. He went to the nets after his running exercises and watched the right-hander bat against the spinners.
