BEZA inks land allotment deals with 3 firms

Three businesses signed land allocation contracts with the Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), investing a combined US$27.81 billion.

The organizations include Rangs Properties Limited, Bangladesh Agriculture Products Ltd, and Istamarina Refueling Station Ltd.

The agreements were signed on behalf of each party by BEZA Executive Member (Investment Development) Md Mozibor Rahman, Istamarina Refueling Station Ltd Representative Ishtiaque Ahmed Patwary, Bangladesh Agriculture Products Ltd Managing Director Aameir Alihussain, and Mashid Rahman, Divisional Director of the Real Estate Division of Rangs Properties Limited.

The plots at Sabrang Tourism Park and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar in Chattogram’s Mirsharai will each be given to one company. The total area of all the plots is 15 acres.

Speaking at the event, BEZA Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Harun claimed BEZA had been successful in creating an atmosphere that was favorable to investment in Bangladesh, where Mirsharai, the largest industrial city in South Asia, is being built.

The economic zone is set to bring an industrial revolution which will improve the living standards of people alongside achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs), he said, adding: “BEZA has adopted several initiatives to establish a world-class tourism centre in Sabrang Tourism Park.”

Mentionable, Sabrang Tourism Park will be the first exclusive tourism park in Cox’s Bazar district which is an amazing hill and sea beach territory, multifaceted in diversity and remarkably beautiful. The purest air, lofty hill, sea and lagoon create perfect conditions for the development of all types of tourism and entertainment.
