Bangladeshi Govt primary schools remain closed from June 5-8 due to heat wave

Due to the extreme heat wave sweeping the nation, all government elementary schools will remain closed from June 5 to June 8.

According to a news release issued today, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education made the choice with the welfare of the students in mind.

A severe heat wave is currently sweeping the nation, according to the Met office.

Saturday’s temperatures ranged from a high of 41.0 degrees Celsius in Chattogram to a low of 34.3 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi division.

The temperature ranged from 34.6 degrees Celsius in Sylhet to 37.4 degrees Celsius in Rangpur, 38.0 degrees Celsius in Khulna, 37.1 degrees Celsius in Dhaka, 37.0 degrees Celsius in Mymensingh, and 36.7 degrees Celsius in Barishal.
