Britain’s annual inflation rate fell sharply to 8.7 percent in April

Britain’s annual inflation rate fell sharply to 8.7 percent in April from 10.1 percent in March as energy prices weakened, official data revealed Wednesday.

The rate of price increases stood under 10 percent for the first time since August last year, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement, reports BSS.
