Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) to attract Chinese investment to the economic zones in Bangladesh, according to news agency BSS.
Under the MoU, both entities will work to boost bilateral trade between Bangladesh and China and attract Chinese investment to Bangladesh.
The MoU was signed at the BEZA office in Agargaon area of the capital. Md. Moniruzzaman, General Manager (Investment Development) of BEZA, and Al Mamun Mridha, General Secretary of BCCCI, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Shaikh Yusuf Harun, Executive Chairman of BEZA, and Md. Sultan Uddin Iqbal, Senior Vice President of BCCCI, were present at the signing ceremony.
Harun congratulated BCCCI for signing the MoU and said that they are working relentlessly to create an investment-friendly environment in Bangladesh while unveiling new doors of possibilities for investors in Bangladesh.
He also mentioned that land is being provided at competitive prices in economic zones to ensure planned industrialization.
