PRAN Group, the leading agro processor in Bangladesh, has received halal certificates for 96 of its products across 18 categories from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI).
The certificate was formally handed over to Eleash Mridha, managing director of PRAN Group’s subsidiary PRAN Agro Limited, by the Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun in a program held at the Industries Ministries conference room in the capital city.
The State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder, ministry secretary Zakia Sultana, and director general of BSTI Abdus Sattar were also present at the event.
According to a press release, the BSTI’s provision of halal certificates for various products will expand their export potential in the global market, as there is a growing demand for halal products internationally. PRAN Group’s halal certificates for its products are expected to boost its export potential and enhance its reputation as a trusted agro processor.
