The Islamic Republic of Iran’s President, Ebrahim Raisi, has been cordially invited by President Xi Jinping of China to make a state visit from February 14th to 16th. This was announced by Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying on Sunday
In response to a formal invitation from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Raisi will depart for Beijing on Monday night, according to Iran’s official news agency IRNA.
A conference for the Shanghai Cooperation organization brought the two leaders together for the first time last September in Uzbekistan, when the Iranian president advocated for deeper ties.
According to IRNA, Raisi is scheduled to meet with Xi in private during his future trip, and delegations from both nations will sign “cooperation documents.”
