BPL to be aired in 15 countries including Bangladesh

Tomorrow (Friday), the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will begin its ninth season, with seven teams competing for the coveted championship. Despite considerable controversy at its inception, the competition’s organizers are still working to make it a global phenomenon.

BPL will be broadcast live on OTT platforms in addition to TV broadcasters for the first time. There are 15 countries in all where this T20 competition will be broadcast, including Bangladesh. The game will be broadcast on Nagorik TV and the OTT service Daraz Live in Bangladesh. The game will be broadcast on the Discovery TV channel in India. The game is simultaneously available on the OTT service Fan Code Plus.

Live coverage of the BPL will be available in Sri Lanka on the OTT service Daraj Live and Euro Sports. In Nepal and the Maldives, twentyseventhsports.com and Euro Sports are available, as are GEO TV and PTV in Pakistan, ESPN in the United States and Canada, CineBlitz IM HD in the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman, and SportsMax TV in the West Indies. The BPL is broadcast on ICC TV and is watched by cricket enthusiasts in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Africa.

Ispahani, backed by sponsor Minister Group, is the BPL title sponsor for this year.
