Beximco Industrial Park welcomes inauguration of new wastewater treatment facility

A new wastewater treatment facility was officially opened in the Beximco Industrial Park by US Ambassador Haas and Salman F. Rahman, vice chairman of Beximco.

The United States’ most innovative machinery is used to make the plat! Every hour, this treatment facility handles 450 cubic meters of wastewater, maintaining the wellbeing of Beximco’s 40,000 employees.

The U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum Certificate for sustainability success was also presented to Beximco by Ambassador Haas, who was delighted to do so (USGBC). Group Beximco

According to a press statement, Syed Naved Husain, director and CEO of Beximco Group, presided over the ceremony.

Salman F. Rahman, MP, the Vice Chairman of the Beximco Group and the Bangladesh Prime Minister’s Advisor on Private Industry and Investment, attended the session. Beximco Group Director and CEO Syed Naved Husain accompanied Ambassador Haas on a tour of all the units at the company’s Vertical Leeds Green Certified Industrial Park.

The initiatives of Beximco on value addition and innovation employing technology, education, and R&D as major drivers piqued the interest of the ambassador and his entourage.

They were also very interested in learning about Beximco’s sustainability initiatives, such as its partnership with Recovertex (a world leader in recycling post-consumer waste) and other recycling initiatives, as well as its state-of-the-art effluent treatment plant and RO systems for recycling water, the world’s largest sustainable washing plant housed under one roof, and its automated garment factories.
