Kashmir’s first multiplex to open today after 3 decades

The long-awaited first multiplex in Kashmir is expected to open today following Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha’s inauguration.

In Srinagar, an INOX-designed multiplex will soon open, giving Kashmiris their first opportunity in more than three decades to see movies on a huge screen.

An official previously stated that three sizable auditoriums with a combined seating capacity of more than 500 people have been created in the multiplex.

The Dolby Atmos digital sound system has been installed in the auditorium to give audiences surround sound for the greatest movie experience.

The “papier mache” and “khatamband” Kashmiri handicrafts, which stand out, have been used in the theater.

According to the spokesperson, a food court is also being created for visitors to the multiplex.

Vijay Dhar, the project’s chairman, has stated that kids should have access to the same amenities at the movies as they do outside of Kashmir.
