Speaker of Bangladesh Parliament leaves for Uzbekistan to attend women speakers’ summit

Sangsad Jatiya Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, the speaker, departed this location this morning for Tashkent, Uzbekistan, to attend the “Fourteenth Workshop of Women Speakers of Parliament” (14SWSP), which will get underway on Thursday.

Today at 10:15 a.m., a delegation of the Bangladeshi parliament led by the speaker departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, according to an official statement.

The Speaker will attend the 14SWSP session on “Addressing the Risk of Post Pandemic Global Recovery,” “Preventing Tech-Related Risks and Preserving Human Rights and Gender Equality in a High-Tech World,” and other related topics during her visit.

Dr. Shirin will end her visit on September 11, the announcement said, and then depart for her native country.
