Cricketer Al-Amin gets anticipatory bail in domestic violence case

Al-Amin Hossain, a cricket player for the Bangladesh national team, was today given an eight-week anticipatory bail in a domestic abuse case by the High Court.

The decision was made by a high court division bench consisting of Justices Md. Rezaul Hasan and Md. Atabullah.

Ishrat Jahan, the pacer (pace-bowler) for the national team, filed a complaint in Mirpur Model Thana on Thursday, stating that Al-Amin had physically assaulted and tormented her in exchange for dowry. Additionally, according to the complaint, the victim and her young children were forcibly ejected from their home.
