A decade has passed since Humayun Ahmed passed away

Humayun Ahmed was one of the writers who helped Bengali literature become ingrained in daily life and built up a sizable readership in Bangladesh. Today is his passing day. Ten years have passed, yet the void is still very much present.

Although he has left us with innumerable reasons to remember him. Humayun Ahmed, a well-known and accomplished writer, has portrayed in pen and ink the numerous and little routines of our lives.

In the morning, members of Humayun Ahmed’s family and several organizations has honored him by laying floral wreaths on his tomb. Numerous TV networks will air special shows to commemorate the passing of Humayun Ahmed.

Each character that Humayun Ahmed developed left a lasting impression on the reader. Without a doubt, his biggest contribution was responsible for encouraging young people to read literature.

On November 13, 1948, in Kutubpur, Netrakona, Humayun Ahmed was born. For more than 40 years, he ruled the hearts of Bangla fiction readers. In all, he produced 200 works of fiction. On this day in 2012, he died away in the respect and love of others. But he had always thought that life is love.
