A media summit on the ‘Future of Journalism’ will be held at ULAB MSJ.

The Dhaka Media Summit on the theme ‘Future of Journalism’ is being organized by the Department of Media Studies and Journalism (MSJ) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) and the International Association of Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) Bangladesh. It will take place from March 10 to 13, 2022.

The four-day summit will contain 58 research papers presented by academics and researchers from ten countries, five roundtable discussions, three masterclasses, and book marketing.

The event will feature multi-sectoral debates on the theme ‘Future of Dialogue,’ with a particular focus on the four major characteristics of journalism: audience access, agenda-setting, sustainability or viability, and safety concerns.

There are ten associate partners in the online summit. LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Indonesia, Walisongo University, Indonesia, Khawaja Mainuddin Chisti Language University, India, Miriam College, Philippines, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, Thailand, Pelita Harapan University, Indonesia, Media Action, Nepal, Digital Transformation Centre, Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival, and Axis Media and Information Literacy (MIL).
