Bi-Annual Collaboration Meeting of Adolescent Friendly Health Service held

SERAC-Bangladesh under USAID Shukhi Jibon Project, supported by Pathfinder International Bangladesh organized the “Bi-Annual Collaboration Meeting of Adolescent Friendly Health Service” on January 19, 2022 in District Family Planning Office, Azimpur-Dhaka, where the Deputy Director of District Family Planning, Mr. Mohammad Aman Ullah was the chief guest. Beside this, Md. Anwar Hossain, Deputy Director of District Family Planning Office, Narayanganj; Dr. Ratan Kumar Agorwala, Medical Officer of Shahid Shamsunnessa Arjumoni Ma O Shishu Kollan Kendro, Hazaribag, were the special guests. SERAC-Bangladesh staff, Service Providers of adolescent centers, and 20 Volunteer Peer Leaders from 10 Adolescent Health Services Centers of Dhaka & Narayanganj, joined via offline & online.

The meeting moderated by Md. Salim Miah, Assistant Director (Program) of SERAC-Bangladesh. There they showed a presentation on SERAC-Bangladesh, Shukhi Jibon Project along with the updates, progress, recommendation of the VPLs appointed in the center by Mahisun Binte Wahab Rashti (Monitoring & Evaluation and Documentation Associate) & Songita Sarker (Youth Capacity Building Associate).

Service providers, volunteer peer leaders also shared their experiences, obstacles, recommendations and possible way out for providing effective services in adolescent friendly health service centers. DGFP officials gave advice to promote Adolescent Friendly Health Services, along with enhancing schools and community based programs for developing services in the centers.
