Huawei Bangladesh exhibits technology for good

Huawei has organized a virtual tour of its exhibition center, Darwin Hall, located in Shenzhen of China, on September 15, 2021.
The tour was arranged for 25 university professors teaching at leading Bangladeshi universities. Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, honorable member, University Grants Commission (UGC), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Karl Yuying, Director of Public Affairs and Communications Department at Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited.

This tour was organized to showcase the prospects of advanced technology for enabling a better future across social and economic spectrums. During the tour, the visitors got clear notions about different pertinent and future-friendly technologies such as green power for a smart world, AI-powered healthcare facilities, and technology to fight against the pandemic.

Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, UGC member, said, “The supremacy of ICT is that it can empower the society in many ways. As the leading global provider of ICT solution and equipment; Huawei has that opportunity to make a fully connected, intelligent world. And it is really inspiring to seeing this company remarkably contributing with the same mission. The advanced technologies we have observed today have full potential to aid the industry with better operation management and product excellency. On the other hand, I must appreciate its social empowerment projects under tech4all.”

“Huawei believes that one of the core focuses of all the development initiatives should be to ameliorate human lifestyles through innovation of new technologies. Our latest technologies are the results of our many years of tireless efforts into R&D that have come to reality. With the help of ICT, we now can build our future and business trends riding on the power of technology”, opined Karl Yuying, Public Affairs and Communications Department at Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Limited

Mr. Dr. A.K.M. Ashikur Rahman, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) shared, “The world has embraced latest technologies to get most benefits of it. The applications we have seen today are really amazing. In Bangladesh, 5G is knocking at the door. We need to utilize the technology as soon as possible. And it can be matter of conviction that Huawei is here to provide its best technologies to Bangladesh.”

Professor Dr. Quazi Delwar Hossain, EEE Head, From CUET said, “I thank Huawei for arranging such a tour for university teachers. This tour has enlightened us on many fronts about the potentials of Huawei’s technology for future growth, which will add value to what we teach our students about real-life implications of technological advancement.”

At the end, Prof. Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain delivered the closing speech. The tour came to an end with a photo session with all the participants.
