Workshop organized by Universal College Bangladesh on digital skills sees huge participation

The free student development workshop titled ‘Digital Skills for a Great Career and Higher Education, organized by Universal College Bangladesh (UCB) held recently, was completed with flying colors with large participation from students and learners from various institutes across the country.

Universal College Bangladesh (UCB), the exclusive partner of Monash College Australia, arranged this expert-curated workshop to provide the learners a glimpse of the digital skills they need to flourish in their education and career.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shannon Rios, Manager, Education Strategy, Learning and Teaching, Monash College Diplomas. He discussed different things related to digital literacy, higher education expectations, Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (Moodle), and future digital skills like 3D printing, app development, web design, etc.

The number of participants was commendable, and they expressed satisfaction over the module of the workshop. All the attendees have also received joint certificates of participation from Monash College and Universal College Bangladesh.

Anika Alam, one of the participants, said, “It was a humdinger for me as I have got to know a lot of things and learned as well. The workshop has opened my eyes to a whole new world of digital transformation that will rule the future world. I hope UCB will keep arranging such interactive and informative workshops in the days to come.”

Universal College Bangladesh, the only Ministry of Education-approved international education provider in Bangladesh, will organize more workshops like this in the future, and a workshop highlighting different facets of studying abroad is in the offing for the O/A level students who are awaiting their results.

UCB has partnered with Monash College Australia to provide Bangladeshi students with an opportunity to jumpstart their journey to a degree at Monash University, a world top-100 ranked university (QS 2021 rankings) immediately after their O/AS/A levels/HSC Year-1 right here in Bangladesh.
