3 million doses of Sinopharm vaccines reach Dhaka

The government purchased 30 lakh doses of Covid-19 Sinopharm vaccine, which arrived in Bangladesh last night (July 29) and in the early hours of today (July 30).

Dr Md Shamsul Haque, Line Director of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), told BSS this morning that thirty lakh shots of COVID-19 Sinopharm vaccine from China arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport last night and in the early hours of today.

He stated that 10 lakh Sinopharm vaccine doses arrived in Dhaka at 10.15 p.m. last night (July 29), out of a total of 30 lakh doses.

He further stated that 10 lakh Sinopharm vaccinations arrived in Bangladesh around 1.15 a.m. on July 30 and another 10 lakh Sinopharm vaccines arrived at 4.15 a.m.

“Bangladesh has got 81 lakh doses of Sinopharm vaccination so far…. indicating total Sinopharm jab doses have reached 81 lakh,” Shamsul stated.
