Ruman Sana face English archer Tom Hall tomorrow in Tokyo Olympics

In the first elimination round of the men’s solo event of the Tokyo Olympics archery set for tomorrow morning, ace archer Ruman Sana will face English archer Tom Hall.

Ruman Sana and Diya Siddique, a young women’s archer, had a bright start on the first day of the Tokyo Olympic Games, finishing 17th and 36th, respectively, among 64 competitors in the recurve individual qualification round event.

Ruman received a score of 662 out of 720, and Diya Siddique received a score of 635 out of 720. With a combined score of 1297, the couple also advanced to the 16-team recurve mixed team final event as the last team.

However, archers Ruman and Diya were ousted in the pre-quarterfinal stage of the recurve mixed event on Saturday, falling to top-ranked Korea.

Meanwhile, Diya will compete in the first elimination round of the women’s solo event on Thursday against Dziominskaya Karyna of Belarus (July 29).
