Bangladesh reports highest COVID deaths, toll crosses 16 thousand

According to a news release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) today, the country had the highest-ever number of coronavirus deaths on Friday, with 11,324 new cases.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths has now reached 16,004 as a result of this. On Thursday, 199 individuals were killed by Covid-19.

After evaluating 36,586 samples, including quick antigen tests, in the last 24 hours, the number of discovered unique cases in Bangladesh grew to 10,00,543, as 11,324 more cases were reported.

The rate of detection in the last 24 hours till 8:00 a.m. was 30.75 percent, with an overall rate of detection of infected cases in Bangladesh of 14.49 percent as of Thursday.

According to the health directorate, 6,038 persons have recovered from the highly infectious sickness in the last 24 hours, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 862,384.

As of today, the overall recovery rate is 86.19 percent, with a death rate of 1.60 percent, according to the report.

There were 119 men and 93 women among those who perished in the previous 24 hours. There were 11,254 males (70.32%) and 4,750 females among those who died so far (29.68 per cent).
