Sydney residents are banned from leaving the city due to COVID

During the COVID period,, Sydney residents have been banned from leaving the city in Australia.

The Australian authorities decided on Saturday to prevent the highly contagious type of COVID, the Delta variant, from spreading to other areas.

More than 30 people have been infected with corona in Sydney’s Bondi Beach area since many corona infections were detected last week.

New South Wales Prime Minister Gladys Berezikian announced the new move, which will take effect next week. The ban calls for unnecessary travel outside of Sydney and limited social interaction.

Officials have called on Sydney residents to comply with the ban.

Australia is one of the few countries in the world to have successfully controlled the coronavirus.

More than 30,000 people in the country have been affected by corona. 910 people died.
