Tendulkar gave INR 1 crore to meet the oxygen crisis

Every day new records are being set in India for corona infections and deaths. There has been an acute oxygen and bed crisis in the hospitals.

A project called ‘Mission Oxygen’ has been started in Mumbai to meet the shortage of oxygen. They usually work to meet the lack of oxygen in hospitals. Sachin has donated one crore rupees for this project.

Aussie pacer Pat Cummins, who plays for Kolkata, has donated USD 50,000 to the PM’s fund. Former Aussie pacer Brett Lee provided financial support. Besides, the team management and players of Rajasthan Royals have contributed INR 7 crore to the Corona Fund.

India is witnessing an unprecedented surge in coronavirus infections and recorded a single-day rise of 3,79,257 new cases on Wednesday.

The healthcare system is crumbling due to the crisis with hospitals struggling to provide oxygen and crucial medicines to the infected patients.
